Author Bill DeYoung is Senior Writer and Arts Editor at the St. Pete Catalyst. Along with three previous volumes of "Vintage St. Pete" stories, he is the author of the books "Skyway: The True Story of Tampa Bay’s Signature Bridge and the Main Who Brought it Down"; "I Need to Know: The Lost Music Interviews"; and Record Man: The Story of Phil Gernhard, Florida’s No. 1 Hit Producer. He is a St. Petersburg native.
Interviewer Gabrielle Calise is the culture and nostalgia reporter at the Tampa Bay Times. She is also the editor of A24's travel book Florida! A Hyper-local Guide to the Flora, Fauna, and Fantasy of the Most Far-out State in America. When she’s not writing about local history, music and shenanigans, she can be found singing and playing guitar in the all-female, multigenerational indie rock band, Hex Appeal.
