Who: This book was written for children ages 3-8 and their families. All are welcome! Children must be accompanied by an adult.
What: This event is free to attend and will include two author readings (10:30 AM and 11:30 AM), light snacks, and a paper airplane contest. Books and journal kits for decorating will be available for purchase.
About the Book: Marnie is brilliant, full of great ideas, and eager to please. But she has a problem: Her ideas like to float away before she can carry them out. With support from loved ones, Marnie finds her own way to capture those thoughts so that she can bring all her creative ideas to life. Marnie and the Floating Thoughts, written by Jordyn Jefferson and illustrated by Maya Brown, is a whimsical and accessible entry point for young children and their caregivers to learn about executive dysfunction, a common symptom of ADHD, autism, and many other conditions.
