Mike Pratt
His new collection of poetry ‘Aftermaths’.
Mike is a self-taught naturalist and career conservationist having worked with many environmental organisations over the last thirty four years. He is a North Easterner and is Chief Executive of the Northumberland Wildlife Trust. His obsession with all things natural is life long and his personal mission is to open people’s eyes to the wonders and value of Nature. He is a prolific writer and illustrates his work with his sketches. Mudfog published his acclaimed book ‘WILD’ in 2008 and he has since had two further works published by Red Squirrel Press, ‘Iona, A Spiritual Landscape’ and recently (2015) ‘My Wild Northumbria’. He is a regular contributor to The Northumbrian magazine and various publications and is currently working on an exploration of northern lands. Mudfog also published two more recent poetry collections ‘Recipe for a Snow Bunting’s Nest’ (2016) and ‘North Facing’ 2019.
Robin Moss his new collection ‘Learning How to Count on the Fingers of Two Hands.'
Robin was born and brought up in Suffolk, before leaving for further education at the University of Sussex and the London School of Economics. He has lived in the North East for over fifty years, where he worked as a full time Trade Union Officer before retirement. He is married and has two daughters and six grandchildren. He has written poetry on and off since his late teens, and more seriously since his retirement. The landscape and birdlife of Northumberland have been a rich source of images and inspiration for the poems he writes.
Mudfog Press published his first pamphlet collection in December 2015, 'Walking the Ridgeline'… and Mudfog also published his first full collection 'Mastering the Art of Imperfection' in 2018.
In 2020 he published 'Words for Birds' a collection of poems and art produced in collaboration with fellow poet Tom Moody and artists Victoria Holt Di Neo and Fran Garcia.
