'Nyika, I Love You', explores first hand the author's life and upbringing in Zimbabwe during its liberation struggle
About this Event

Nyika I Love You is a poignant and evocative novel that explores the beauty, complexity, and challenges of life in Zimbabwe against the backdrop of the African wilderness. The novel follows the deep bond between Nyika, a Shona maid, and Joe, the youngest daughter of Nyika’s white employer amidst Zimbabwe’s transformation from Rhodesia through the brutal Independence Struggle.

Nyika, I Love You has recently been acquired for an adaptation for the big screen by Los Angeles based producer Stacy Ekstein of Market Street Productions.

Join journalist and author Geoff Hill in conversation with author Alice Vye-Henningway for an interesting discussion at the Frontline Club at 7pm on Friday 4th October.
