About this Event
Meet Dugald - a tweed-wearing cow with a penchant for jam, misadventure and questionable navigation.
This illustrated collection follows his travels across a deeply peculiar Britain, where stoats whisper (and are occasionally mayor), islands float, and nothing is quite as proper as it should be.
Created by Currie Russell, co-founder of Glumbury Studios, Dugald is inspired by a lifelong love of British humour - from Monty Python's Flying Circus to The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13 3/4. The result is a richly layered book of interconnected stories, complete with footnotes, appendices and a welcome (?) interruption midway through.
Illustrated by Gustyawan, the world of Dugald is brought vividly to life through expressive scenes of barmy villages, curious critters and pastries of questionable integrity.
Dugald's Field Notes is a book to be read, revisited, and occasionally consulted in moments of uncertainty.
