Seven Stories founder and publisher Dan Simon launches his novel Ashland, newly published by Europa Editions! It is a deeply moving family story unfolding in richly evocative prose and a poetic portrayal of a small town during the final decades of the American century. Recalling the novels of Richard Russo, Paul Harding, Marilynne Robinson, and Elizabeth Strout, Ashland is a debut of great intensity and poetry told in the voices of many vivid characters and, through them, in the voice of Ashland itself. Simon reads from and discusses the book with critic and writer Sarah Wang, before an audience Q&A and signing.
