Book Illustration Workshop (Jan 17)On January 17, 2-4pm, Alice Cao will lead an exclusive Picture Book Illustration Workshop ($20 cash at door, limited to 20 participants), inviting participants into the playful and imaginative world of visual storytelling.

Through hands-on activities and creative exploration, Alice will share how stories and emotions can come alive through colour, composition, and character. Participants will experiment with a variety of drawing approaches, discover new ways of thinking visually, and unlock their own creative voices through image-making.
About the Artist: Alice Cao
Alice Cao is an interdisciplinary artist, children’s book author–illustrator, and art educator from Vancouver, Canada. She holds a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Bachelor of Education in Visual Arts from the University of British Columbia, where she is currently completing her Master of Education. Her work is rooted in storytelling and spans whimsical illustrations, surreal paintings, dreamlike sculptures, film photography, and visual poetry. Working as both a secondary school teacher and an artist-writer, Alice explores the intersections of education, storytelling, and visual art, creating imaginative works that balance childlike curiosity with thoughtful reflection.

Exhibition: Jan 10 – 18, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily free admission
Workshop: $20 (cash only at the door). Limited to 20 spots.
