Book Launch: Glen E. Friedman presents Fearless Vampire Killers: The Bad Brains Photographs

Photographer Glen E. Friedman, known for his influential and iconic images of rebellious artists from classic skateboarding, punk, and hip-hop cultures, launches his phenomenal new book of punk photography Fearless Vampire Killers: The Bad Brains Photographs from Akashic Books! Considered by many music fans to be the greatest and most influential American punk rock band of all time, Bad Brains has been cited by many bands beyond the realm of punk as a seminal influence, including Beastie Boys, Living Colour, Jane’s Addiction, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, to name just a few. Fearless Vampire Kllers features Friedman's most iconic images of Bad Brains, as well as many never-before-seen photographs, and endsheet art by Shepard Fairey. The artistry of Friedman’s Bad Brains photographs is unparalleled, and music lovers the world over will feast on Fearless Vampire Killers. Friedman launches the book with a visual presentation and discussion with Akashic Books publisher (and bassist for the post-hardcore band Girls Against Boys) Johnny Temple. An audience Q&A and book signing will follow.
