If you would like to learn how to become a bone carver, then this course is for you. Bone carving is an amazing art and makes an awesome hobby. We will demonstrate all the key skills and introduce you to the tools you will need to use, and you will create a unique treasure or two that will make you feel really proud. Tools and bone will be providedLocation: Rangimarie, Marfell Park, New Plymouth (park not named on the map) set your navigation to 37 Grenville St, NP. Rangimarie is the adjoining property.
Tutors: Riki Osborne and Mike Brown.
Both Riki and Mike are members of the Mokau Bone Carving leadership team and are experienced tutors who love sharing their enthusiasm and knowledge of bone carving with new carvers.
Bring: If you have your own gear, bring that. However, we have
equipment for you to use if you don't.
Bone, if you have any (we will supply to those who don't)
Dust mask (supplied if you don't have one)
Lunch, and snacks - baking to share if you are able
