About this Event
The series is designed to highlight the work of Early Career Researchers (ECRs) across the chemical sciences who hold intersectional identities. Our aim is to create a space where cutting-edge research and lived experiences are shared side by side.
All speakers are UK-based early-career chemical scientists within 8 years of their first academic appointment with intersectional identities. Join us as we hear their lived experiences and career journey whilst also connecting to peers through collaboration and networking. This event sponsored by Royal Society of Chemistry will be an in-person event
Join us for a talk by Dr Jingwen Weng from Imperial College London, who will share her research on battery degradation, focusing on gas evolution and electrolyte-driven mechanisms, integrating material-to-cell level experiments with physics-based modelling.
Dr Weng will also share her career journey from a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow to an Imperial College Research Fellow (ICRF), to build her independent career at Imperial, and how cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural experiences have shaped her scientific perspective.
