Valentine's Day may have been commercialised beyond belief, but regardless of our relationship status, we could all do with a bit more love and romance in our lives, especially towards ourselves, so join us in a Self Love Valentine's Special!
Body Love Sketch Club is a life drawing class with a twist, in which you can choose to pose as well as draw, whilst we explore ways of accepting ourselves more unconditionally, and expressing ourselves more freely.
Our workshops are an artistic adventure in body positivity and creative empowerment, a joyful and tender tonic to feeling disconnected from each other and ourselves, a celebration of bodies in all their (optionally naked) glory, and a place for creative play without shame or judgment.
All bodies, artistic capabilities and confidence levels welcome.
SPARKLE TIME?
As it's a Christmas special, if you'd like to, you're very welcome to dress up with sparkles, silly hats, and accessories, but this is absolutely optional (there's enough stress at this time of year already!)
VENUE...
This is an in-person class in London, 1900-2100. Jamboree, 6 St Chad's Pl, London WC1X 9HH, (6 mins walk from Kings Cross station), a gorgeous speakeasy-esque arts space.
ACCESSIBILITY...
We are on the ground floor, and this venue is accessible to wheelchair users. Please get in touch with us on [email protected] if you'd like to discuss any access requirements.
TICKETS...
£15, including drawing materials (but you're welcome to bring along your favourite things to draw with too).
Body Love Sketch Club is founded on a principle of inclusivity and has a NOTAFLOF policy (no one turned away for lack of funds). If our ticket price is prohibitive to you, please contact us prior to the event on [email protected]
THE GOLDEN RULE...
We have one main rule at Body Love Sketch Club, and it's 'be f*cking lovely!' This means that inclusivity, safety, respect, confidentiality, and consent are fundamental principles of Body Love Sketch Club sessions and that all attendees are expected to uphold them. The organisers reserve the right to ask anyone to leave should their behaviour be deemed to be inappropriate.
REFUNDS
You can apply for a refund through eventbrite up to 24 hours ahead of the event. Please apply for refunds through eventbrite (not by emailing or messaging us directly).
If you can't make it along, please let us know with us much notice as possible (and at least 24 hours) so we have time to find someone else to take your ticket.
Please don't come along if you have a positive Covid test or symptoms, or are otherwise concerned you may be unwell.
