About this Event
Over time, many women learn to brace, tighten, or subtly pull away from an intimate connection with their bodies. These patterns are often learned and deeply habituated.
In this workshop, we’ll explore how protective “armour” forms in both the body and the psyche — and how to begin gently softening it.
Through movement and honest conversation, about the ways we’ve learned to be in relationship with ourself, you’ll learn how to:
• notice where you habitually brace or disconnect
• understand the protective intelligence in your body — without shaming it
• soften patterns of tension and holding
• begin rebuilding trust with your body from the inside out
This is not about pushing or forcing anything open, or about spiritualizing embodiment. It’s about creating the conditions for you to discover something new, about you.
What to bring:
- yoga mat
- blanket/sheepskin/towel (something to pad your knees)
- journal & writing utensil
- water bottle
This workshop is for you if you notice:
• you don't feel at home in your body
• chronic tension or bracing
• body image or self-esteem struggles
• difficulty slowing down or resting
• overwhelming sense of lethargy
• don't know how to "listen" to your body’s signals
• feel emotionally guarded or shut down
No movement experience necessary. All bodies welcome.
