Boater Safety Course (8 hours)
Are you ready to hit the water but want to make sure you're doing it safely? Join us for our Boater Safety Course held in Elk Rapids! Don't miss this opportunity to become a more confident and responsible boater!
This boater safety class is for novice recreational boaters ages 12 and older. Topics covered include boating safety and safety equipment, emergency procedures, navigation rules and aids, and boating regulations. The class meets on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 9 am – 5 pm, with a lunch break at noon. You must attend all 8 hours to get your boater safety certificate. Preregister by May 14 through Eventbrite link. Cost is $17.85 ($15 + $2.85 Eventbrite fee) for book and boater safety certificate. Minimum of 8 students needed to hold the class.
