BMF’s much-loved outdoor gem, Gilpin Park returns this year with shows on Friday March 7th and Saturday March 8th.
On Friday March 7, Gilpin Park hosts the incredible Miss Kaninna, a proud Yorta Yorta, Dja Dja Wurrung, Kalkadoon, and Yirendali woman whose music fearlessly carries forward the storytelling traditions of her ancestors. Her genre-blending sound, which fuses punk, rap, and neo-soul, has made waves since her breakout single "Blak Britney".
Joining her is Elsy Wameyo, a Nairobi-born, Adelaide-raised artist whose music reflects her journey of identity and self-discovery. Drawing from hip-hop, R&B, and gospel, her songs are rich with themes of heritage, resilience, and personal growth.
