This class is an introduction to showing class for riders 12 years and under, who consider themselves either a new, nervous or novice rider at showing not to have won 1st place in any class before 1st January in the current year. There will be a group go round in walk and trot. To be led by an attendant. SNAFFLE BRIDLES ONLY.
26. Newbie Junior Rider
Mare or Gelding. Four years and over. Riders to be the correct size for mount. This class is an introduction to showing class for riders 16 years and under, who consider themselves either a new, nervous or novice rider at showing not to have won 1st place in any class before 1st January in the current year. There will be a group go round in walk and trot. A short individual show will be required. If riders are not happy to canter they may stay at a trot.
27. Newbie Senior Rider
Mare or Gelding. Four years and over. Riders to be the correct size for mount. This class is an introduction to showing class for riders over 16, who consider themselves either a new, nervous or novice rider at showing not to have won 1st place in any class before 1st January in the current year. There will be a group go round in walk and trot. A short individual show will be required. If riders are not happy to canter they may stay at a trot

Rules
All competitors take part at their OWN RISK and are expected to exercise due care at all times and obey ALL notices displayed. The organisers accept NO responsibility for any accident, loss or damage to any competitors, spectators, animals or property. It shall be a condition of entry that competitors will hold the organisers blameless and indemnify them against any loss, damage or legal proceedings.
• BMB recommend that all exhibitors should have adequate personal sports insurance.
• All accidents/incidents/falls should be reported to the Secretary.
• Exhibitors may not knowingly exhibit any Pony/Horse that has been bred, sold, leased or produced by the Judge or his/her immediate family or his/her employer.
• An exhibitor may not show an equine in a competition judged by any member of his/her immediate family.
• The Judge's decision is final.
• All Ridden Ponies MUST be 4 years old and over.
• IN-HAND STALLIONS AND COLTS: Stallions / Colts may NOT be LED by any Juniors who have not attained their 14th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
• All Children MUST have attained their 3rd birthday by 1st January in the current year before competing in ANY ridden classes, and must comply with the upper limit of the class entered, and be prepared to supply a copy of their birth certificate if requested.
• Correct British Standard Headgear conforming to current standards to be worn at all times when mounted, with chinstraps from 3 points on the hat fastened. This is compulsory for juniors competing in inhand classes, it is strongly advised for seniors to also wear British Standard headgear inhand classes.
• Reins that restrict the natural movement of a Pony/Horse MUST not be used in the ring.
• NO Spurs to be worn in any ridden class and Showing Canes MUST not exceed 30" (unless deemed to be part of the 'dress code' for the class entered).
• LEAD REIN, FIRST RIDDEN, NOVICE RIDDEN, NOVICE WORKING HUNTER CLASSES, SNAFFLE BRIDLES ONLY will be accepted.
• Mountain & Moorland ponies MUST be shown in their natural state and trimming of Mountain & Moorland ponies MUST comply with the respective Breed Society Rules.
• The Organisers may divide/amalgamate/cancel classes as they see fit, without prior notice.
• The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry of persons or ponies at the committee's/secretary's discretion and without assigning a reason.
• ALL dogs MUST be kept on LEADS.
• Objections must be in writing and given to the Secretary within 30 minutes of the completion of the relevant class and accompanied with a fee of £10.00 (refundable if the objection is upheld).
• Unruly/dangerous behaviour (by any exhibitor or exhibit) WILL result in them being asked to leave the Show ring and/or club grounds
• No horse/pony should be left unattended tied to a lorry/trailer
• The Judges decision is final
LEGAL LIABILITY Neither the Organisers, nor any person acting on their behalf accept any liability for loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horse, exhibitors, spectators or any other persons or property whatsoever.
HEALTH AND SAFETY.
The Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For those measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents and must obey the instructions of Judges and Officials.
It is recommended that they have their own Public Liability insurance that would either be through their horse insurance or BHS gold membership.
PLEASE TAKE YOUR RUBBISH HOME WITH YOU AND DO NOT MUCK OUT ONTO THE FIELD
