About this Event
Which form of creative expression do Vermonters love more—books or art? It’s a trick question—the answer is both! So, what could be better than books about art?
That’s the idea behind BMAC Reads, a new series launching this spring with a deep dive into Michael Finkel’s The Art Thief: A True Story of Love, Crime, and a Dangerous Obsession.
Join us for an engaging evening at the museum, where like-minded art and literature lovers will exchange ideas about a book described as “enthralling” (The Washington Post), “exhilarating” (Esquire), and possessed of “confidence, élan, and a great sense of timing” (The New Yorker).
Moderated by voracious reader and Brattleboro Literary Festival board member Elizabeth Catlin, this discussion promises a mix of insightful conversation and fascinating perspectives—plus refreshments and an opportunity to explore the museum’s current exhibits. Space is limited, so register now, and don’t miss out on this unique blend of culture, conversation, and creativity!
