✨ Special Tuesday Module –Savoy Walk Blues Session ✨Apollo Swing is launching a brand new series of special themed modules happening sporadically on Tuesday evenings. These extended sessions allow dancers to explore unique styles, musical influences, and creative dance concepts in depth.
💃 Savoy Walk Blues Special Session

This special module is open to Apollo Swing students and to the public. Everyone is welcome to join this unique artistic experience.
For this edition, we will explore the foundation of connection in close embrace through the Savoy walk.
🔥 Why join this session?
We will focus on:
• Building a clear and functional frame
• Establishing grounded connection in close embrace
• Walking in 4 directions (forward, back, left, right)
• Side-by-side walking
• Turning together as one unit
• Refining shared axis and body alignment
Through simple shared walking, we will develop clarity, stability and responsiveness — allowing the partnership to move as one body while maintaining individual balance.
Rather than adding figures, this workshop deepens the quality of movement and connection, creating a close embrace that feels solid, fluid and intentional.

🎶 Aiwei Liu from Taiwan
Awei has been teaching dance for 9 years, dancing Blues for 12 years, and Swing for 13 years.
At first, dancing was a strong passion—I danced almost every week. Over time, it became a natural part of my daily life.
Travel is another important part of my life, and little by little, dancing and traveling came together. This lifestyle is not always stable, but it gives me freedom. Through Blues and Swing, I get to travel, teach, meet people, and share myself openly through dance
✨ Whether you are curious, passionate about Blues, or looking for new inspirations, this special session promises a rich and exciting dance experience.
💃 Level – open level
Whether you have never danced before or you already know some blues dance and Latin blues rhythms, this class is open to everyone. We will explore Latin blues from a musician’s perspective, coming back to basics through simple drills. We will work on habanera rhythms and steps, both solo and in couple, focusing on listening, coordination, and connection.
