Do you love the blues? Are you an adult singer who wants to expand your repertoire? Building on concepts from the introductory session while remaining inclusive to anyone wishing to learn about Blues, this four-week vocal class will continue to explore blues singing from its earliest form to contemporary examples. Singers will learn to recognize the 12-Bar Blues, as well as learn standards in the 12-Bar Blues tradition. In the fourth and final session, the class will write a blues song based on a chosen topic. Where possible, the concept and use of harmonies will be introduced as well. Singers who also play guitar or ukulele are welcome to bring their instruments along.
