Participants will learn the fundamentals of soil preparation, planting, fertilization, pruning, irrigation, and the key differences between blueberry types. Designed for gardeners, community growers, and small farmers.

Instructor Bio:

Merlon Harper is a farmer at Deer Creek Farm in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, where she has spent more than five years cultivating Certified Naturally Grown blueberries. Through hands-on experience and continuous learning, she has developed strong expertise in blueberry production, plant health, and sustainable growing practices. Merlon regularly supports home gardeners, community growers, and fellow farmers by sharing practical guidance on establishing and maintaining productive blueberry bushes. Her passion for helping others succeed has made him a trusted resource. She also serves on the Board of the American Community Garden Association, where she contributes to expanding educational opportunities and strengthening community-based agriculture.
