About this Event

Bluebells at Langley Vale Wood - guided walk

Join our knowledgeable volunteers on a guided walk to this year's amazing display of bluebells hidden within Langley Vale Wood.

The walk will last around 2 hours with regular stops and will be on a mix of surfaced and unsurfaced paths and some slopes.

Please come dressed appropriately for the weather with sturdy footwear. You may want to bring extra sun protection, insect repellant and a drink.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the walk start to allow time for parking and signing in.

What to know before the walk:

Langley Vale Wood car park is a surfaced car park with over 70 spaces, including disabled parking and RolecEV charging for electric vehicles.

There is a charge at the car park. All funds go back into the maintenance of Langley Vale Wood.

Payment can be made using a contactless card via the payment machines onsite or through the RingGo app. Please note: the machines do not take cash. On arrival please allocate enough time for the event, for this walk we recommend 4 hours.

Access

This walk is approx. 2 hours, partly on footpaths, uneven ground with some inclines. This walk will pass through gated areas. Unfortunately, the full route we have planned isn’t suitable for prams or people with mobility issues.

Facilities

There are no toilet facilities onsite. The nearest public toilets are in Ashtead on Woodfield Lane (KT21 1AT).

Before you go

We ask all attendees to come prepared for the weather, this includes appropriate clothing, footwear, sun cream and water if needed. This walk will be cancelled if there is severe weather, please check your emails on the day before the walk.

Please make the Woodland Trust team aware of any medical issues before the start of the walk, e.g. asthma, diabetes, etc.

Dogs

Dogs on leads are welcome. Dogs must be kept on lead at all times during this event.
