Into Jazz? So are we!The Blue Mountains Jazz Ensemble, a division of Blue Mountains Concert Band Inc., has been reignited in 2026 after a long break, and have commenced rehearsals in the lower mountains.
We invite everyone to come along to the Swingwood Jazz Festival on 4th July to hear some great jazz classics from our own BMJE, playing alongside Swing West Jazz Orchestra, Bird Yard Big Band and Nepean CAPA Jazz Band.
It will be a hoot! Tickets available via the Blue Mountains Theatre and Community Hub website.
Once a player is established as a regular concert band player with either Blue Mountains Concert Band or Mountains Youth Band, extension into the Blue Mountains Jazz Ensemble is possible and the opportunities are there for live performances with twice monthly rehearsals under the direction of local musician, Dave Clayton.
