... by popular demand ...Blue Moon Yoga — a magical Sunday evening of movement, moonlight and deep rest
There are yoga classes… and then there are evenings that feel like a threshold.
Blue Moon Yoga is a cosy, moon-inspired Sunday night experience designed to help you soften out of the busy-ness of life and come home to yourself — body, breath, heart and spirit.
Held at the stunning Michael Reid, Murrurundi, this 90-minute session is more than a standard yoga class. It’s a meaningful pause. A gentle ritual. A chance to move, breathe and rest in a way that feels ethereal, mystical and quietly powerful.
And because it’s a Sunday evening, it’s also a beautiful way to set yourself up for a steadier, calmer week ahead.
A rare moment in time
This practice falls on the very last night of May — and you’ll wake the next morning to a new month: June.
Here in the Upper Hunter, June is the beginning of winter — a season that naturally invites us to slow down, turn inward, and prioritise warmth, rest and gentle care.
This evening is an invitation to cross that threshold intentionally: to release what you’re carrying, gather yourself back together, and step into the new week (and new month) feeling grounded and quietly renewed.
The atmosphere
Imagine the space softly lit with fairy-lights, the outside world fading into the background, and that gentle sense of being held by the night.
We’ll let the healing presence of moonlight (and the symbolism of the Blue Moon) guide the tone of the evening — calm, spacious, and a little bit otherworldly.
Think: fairy-lights, warm layers, quiet magic, and the sense that you’ve stepped out of ordinary time for a little while.
A Blue Moon is rare — and this evening is an invitation to treat your wellbeing the same way: as something precious.
Come if you’re craving:
· A nervous system reset
· A deeper kind of calm
· A sense of meaning and connection
· A time and place to nourish your soul
· A beautiful community space to breathe and unwind
What makes this different?
This evening is created as an experience — not a workout, not a performance, and not a “push through” kind of practice.
You can expect:
· Slow, grounding movement to release tension and settle your nervous system
· Breathwork to steady the mind and create spaciousness inside
· Moon-inspired intention (simple, optional, and beautifully personal)
· Deep guided rest to help you integrate, restore and feel like yourself again
· A warm, inclusive atmosphere where you can simply be — exactly as you are
Nicole’s teaching is shaped by over 15 years of experience and a special focus on yoga for anxiety, depression and emotional regulation. The practice is gentle, supportive and adaptable — with plenty of options offered along the way.
What to bring
Autumn nights in the Upper Hunter can be chilly — and with winter arriving, extra cosiness is welcome and will set you up for deeper soul rest.
Please come prepared for maximum comfort:
· Warm layers (socks encouraged)
· 2+ blankets (one to lie on, one to snuggle under)
· Your yoga mat (a few spare mats will be available)
· Optional extras: any props, pillows, crystals you love
Who it’s for
All levels are welcome — including complete beginners. You don’t need to be flexible. You don’t need to “know what you’re doing”. You just need to arrive.
Spaces are limited, and these events tend to sell out. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
If you feel the pull, trust it.
😊 Nicole
