The flow trails added to Blue Marsh Lake in 2021 offer an exciting off-road experience for cyclists, especially those on Cross Country Mountain Bikes and Gravel Bikes with tires 38C or wider. Spanning nearly 16 miles, these trails cater to both intermediate and experienced riders seeking adventure. Meticulously groomed, the trails minimize obstacles like rocks and roots, enhancing speed and maneuverability with small rollers and berms for added exhilaration. The scenic surroundings of Blue Marsh Lake further enrich the experience, offering picturesque views and lush greenery, allowing riders to connect with nature. These trails significantly enhance the local cycling landscape, accommodating various riding styles and skill levels, making them a valuable addition to outdoor recreation options.Gravel bikes- if you are riding a gravel bike, you must have at least 38C tires with a knobby tread. Wider is recommended. These are mild mountain bike trails. You must have good bike control skills to ride a gravel bike on this ride.
Mountain bikes- due to the mild nature of the trails, a hardtail, or short travel full suspension bike is recommended. Longer travel bikes are welcome, they are just more work to pedal.
The loop is a little under 16 miles with 1200 ft of elevation. Our goal is to hold a 6mph average.
