Pulse Dance Company, in partnership with Studio Pulse Center for Dance, is proud to continue its BLOOM artist-in-residence program. This year, in celebration of PDC's *16th* anniversary, selected choreographers' works will be showcased at APU's Earl Brown (grant Hall) auditorium - featuring YOU! WHO: Anyone ages 18+ with dance experience! Attend auditions to learn from a variety of movers, meet new dancers, and to potentially be cast in any of these upcoming works.
WHAT: BLOOM is a chance for local choreographers to further develop their choreographic voice in Anchorage, and a chance for local dancers to work with new artists and perform.
WHERE/WHEN: Auditions and rehearsals are held at Studio Pulse Center for Dance.
Dances premiere at APU April 10 & 11, so dancers will need to be available for tech rehearsals the week of April 6th.
WHY: We love dance, and we want more of it in Anchorage. Pulse aims to nurture, inspire, and support emerging artists by providing inclusive opportunities to create, perform, and experience artful dance in Alaska.
HOW: Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to complete your rehearsal availability form. Auditions are free. Rehearsals will primarily be held on weekends, with some other options available.
CAN’T ATTEND? Email a link to your contemporary audition video to [email protected]. Simply include your dance experience and why you’d like to participate, as well as your weekend rehearsal availability, and we'll pass along to choreographers.
