At Outside with Recess Village, we believe our elders deserve intentional spaces to rest, create, and be celebrated.
Bloom & Create is part of our Elder Explorers series — a collection of free experiences designed to support wellness, connection, and joy for Black elders.
This floral arrangement workshop offers more than the chance to make a bouquet.
It’s an opportunity to:
- slow down and create with your hands
- connect with others in community
- experience the calming benefits of working with flowers
- leave with a beautiful arrangement of your own
Whether you’ve arranged flowers before or this is your first time, this experience is designed to be welcoming, relaxing, and meaningful.
What to Expect
During this guided two-hour session, participants will:
- Learn the basics of floral arrangement design
- Work with fresh seasonal blooms
- Create a mini-vase arrangement to take home
- Enjoy a relaxed and supportive group experience
All floral materials and tools will be provided.
No prior experience is needed
