“Bloody Aftermath,” the new play by Rob Matsushita, is not a scary horror show, but a comedy/drama anthology about being a horror fan. A series of short scenes, all set in different years, that all revolve around a decades-old slasher movie franchise, touching on topics like body image, the sexual politics of horror, racist Halloween decisions, high school plays, and what the afterlife is like in a horror movie.Auditions: Sunday, January 12th 7-9pm, at Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center (504 S. Brearly St).
Auditions and rehearsal will work to be as accessible as possible.
This is an ensemble piece, all actors will play more than one character.
Auditions will consist of small group cold readings.
No need to prepare, just come with big ideas and authenticity.
