The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.

Did you know that almost 25% of the blood we collect is used to help patients undergoing cancer treatments?
Only about 3-6% or the population donates blood, the number one reason people do not donate is they have never been asked.
Every 2 seconds someone is receiving blood.
With no substitution for blood and no way to manufacture it, volunteer donors are the only source of blood products for patients with sickle cell disease, car accident victims, patients undergoing cancer treatment and parents experiencing difficult childbirths.
