About this Event
Susana will demonstrate some basic carving and printing techniques and introduce us to all of the fun materials. Each person will then be able to hard-carve their own blocks into a soft rubber matrix.
In the first part of the workshop, we will create a set of 6-8 greeting cards using stamps that we make. After the lunch break, you'll be able to create a larger piece on paper. Susana will teach us how to mix and match shapes and layer different colors to create your own beautiful design.
This workshop is beginner-friendly, and also a great follow-up if you have attended one of our introductory printmaking workshops before.
Your ticket includes:
- All supplies needed for the workshop
- A set of 4 blank greeting cards and envelopes to print on and take home with you
- Individualized instruction from local artist Susana McDonnell
- Soft drinks, tea, and snacks. (Please bring your own lunch, or you can get take-out from one of our neighboring restaurants.)
Space is very limited to ensure that each participant gets one-on-one support from Susana. Advance registration required.
In the event that a workshop is canceled due to instructor illness, inclement weather, or low enrollment, we will notify all participants via email as soon as possible and issue a full refund.
