The Kentucky Derby Festival Block Party is BACK you're invited! This free event, with the support of Humana and Park Community Credit Union, and the Derby Festival’s Derby Equity Community Initiative (DECI), will be held on Saturday, April 4 at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
The Block Party will showcase talent and resources throughout Louisville, including minority-owned businesses in West Louisville.
Highlights of the Block Party include:
- A variety of local food trucks offering diverse cuisines (please note, no outside food or drinks are allowed).
- The MELANnaire Marketplace, featuring vendors and merchants that highlight Black entrepreneurs. This marketplace is your one-stop shop for spring fashions, accessories, gourmet food, and more.
- Live entertainment across multiple stages throughout the day, showcasing a range of music genres. The complete lineup will be available on KDF.org closer to the event.
- Health and wellness venues providing onsite services.
Fun children’s activities, including inflatables, face painting and more.
- Local non-profit organizations from West Louisville will be present to showcase their services and the positive impact of their initiatives.
- Easter Egg Hunts Sponsored by Humana and produced by The Hope Village. They'll be taking place throughout the afternoon:
2:30 PM – Ages 10 and under
3:00 PM – Ages 11 and up
3:30 PM – Community-wide hunt for all ages
