About the class + a note from Ann-
We’ve watched hair trends move, change and evolve over time but one thing I think that we can all agree on is that bangs are forever. From baby bangs, shaggy fringes to the classic Bardot bang, having a little hair in our faces is here to stay. This class is about choosing the right fringe for our clients, how to cut them and elevating color placement around the face to enhance the shape of the cut and our clients’ best features. Block color isn’t limited to vivids and fashion colors and in this class, we’re going to utilize block color techniques for grey coverage, creating depth within your existing color palette and getting creative with placement to keep things interesting for both you behind the chair and your clients.
I’m Ann. I’ve been doing hair for the last 14 years here in Denver and genuinely love being in the salon. I spent eight years educating for Wella and have been all over the country teaching other stylists. My time spent with Wella really inspired me to create some personalized education that I’m excited to share. A lot of my haircut work behind the chair includes shags, razor cuts and lived-in melty shapes and I’ve enjoyed customizing color placement and personalizing color formulations specifically for those haircuts and shapes. I want you to leave this class feeling confident in techniques for cutting and styling different types of bangs as well as color and placement to make the whole look cohesive and trendsetting.
In this demo class setting, I want this to be an open forum discussion. Ask all the questions, get up close to watch what I’m doing, pick my brain at any time if something pops into your head. This is a collaborative learning environment, so feel free to engage!
