About this Event
Blindfold Yin: A Sensory Reset
Step into a space of stillness and gentle unwinding. An immersive Yin Yoga experience followed by a nourishing plant-based dinner, all included in your ticket.
For this offering, Yin Yoga with Namaste Nicola takes on a subtle yet powerful variation. Eye shades will be available at the beginning of the practice, inviting you to turn inward and experience a deeper kind of rest.
In a world filled with constant stimulation and artificial light, our eyes, and our nervous systems, rarely get a true pause. This practice offers a chance to step away from visual input and soften into a more internal awareness.
Yin is already a deeply introspective style, and with the addition of reduced visual input, the experience becomes even more attuned. It opens a quiet space to reconnect with your body, your breath, and the more subtle layers of sensation and emotion.
This session is suitable for all levels. The practice includes seated and reclined postures, held for 3–5 minutes, with gentle transitions throughout.
Reflections from past participants:
“It took away comparison. I couldn’t see anyone else, and for the first time I could truly focus on myself.”
“So calming. I felt an ease with my body I hadn’t experienced before.”
“With my eyes covered, my hearing felt heightened. The stories and poems felt so comforting, almost nostalgic.”
The eye shade is always optional. You’re welcome to engage with it in a way that feels supportive, wearing it throughout, lifting it between poses, or opting out entirely. This is your practice, your pace.
After the session, we’ll gather to share a thoughtfully prepared plant-based dinner, a space to ground, connect, and gently transition back into the evening.
