Howls and meows welcome! Bring your furry or feathered family members with you in honor of St. Francis Day* (October 4) to one two locations for Blessing of the Animals. We’ll say prayers over all whether on four legs or two! Join us at Braxton’s Animal Works on Thursday, October 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.Can’t make it then? You can also find us at the St. David’s table from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. David's 174th Annual Country Fair; Saturday, October 4 (Fair hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
*St. Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of animals, and his feast day (annually on October 4) is celebrated with a blessing of animals and prayers for creation. It is an annual reminder of the gift of creation, and specifically of the animals with whom we share our lives. All are welcome to join us!
