Paintings by Carina
Carina Segredo is a Miami native of Cuban and Italian descent. Her work is inspired by the city’s dynamic culture, incorporating lively colors that reflect the energy of Miami’s diverse communities and vibrant nightlife. Carina is influenced by the legacy of her grandfather, who worked at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach after moving from Cuba. This connection to Miami’s hospitality industry has shaped her artistic approach, blending her passion for creativity with an appreciation for the city’s cultural landscape.
Emily Miller Arts
Emily Baye Miller is a 20 year old artist born and raised in Miami, Florida. Growing up modeling, she got a sense of entrepreneurship at a very young age. With this being said, by the time Emily was in middle school at Gulliver Preparatory, she knew college was not a route she wanted to take. After playing varsity water polo for 6 years, continuing in college seemed like the natural route to take, however, the idea of another four years of school is what sealed her decision to skip university. Taking her first art class in her freshman year of high school, Emily found her affinity for art and the rest was history. During lockdown in 2020, she started learning how to paint and was selling customs to her friends and family for $50 a piece. Fast forward 4 years, Emily is selling her art worldwide with tens of thousands of followers across her social medias. Not only is Emily an artist, but is also a Real Estate agent with Douglas Elliman and is part of one of the countries leading teams, The David Siddons Group, working as their social media manager. If Emily has anything to say to her audience, it would be that you do not need to go to college to be successful, if you want something bad enough and you give it your all, it’s yours.
Bari Lynn Arts
Bari-Lynn Friedlander is an abstract artist based in Miami. Her most recognizable work, the Abstract Cubism Series is her creative expression of spreading love through these vibrant colors and mesmerizing lines. Her intent with the abstracted figures is to evoke both a sense of togetherness and unity, as well as herself reflective battle of anxiety, depression, and obsession through the contrasting abstracted forms within her work. In all her works, she aims to explore the human connection, capturing this not only in her Cubism Series, but also in the simplicity and movement of thin line-work in her Abstract Line Drawings.
Bari-Lynn found that the one thing that always brought her out of her darkness (the light when she felt she couldn't find a way out) was her artwork. Picking up her pen, pencil, or brush always brought her into a calm and meditative state of mind. “Art truly saved my life and I believe that my purpose is to share this light and love
with others.”
