I was five years old on January 1, 1970. I was sixteen when the decade ended. I literally grew up in the Seventies.Music wasn’t just background noise — it was everywhere. Radios in cars. On kitchen counters. At the playground. Blasting out of basement speakers. I listened to rock-n-roll, R&B, country, and new wave. I wore out records, clicked through 8-tracks, rewound cassettes with a pencil. I watched Soul Train and The Midnight Special. And yes… I proudly got 12 albums for a penny from Columbia House.
The music of the 70s takes me back to that bell-bottomed innocence — when life was full of firsts, when summers felt endless, and when everything seemed possible. Those songs were the soundtrack to becoming who I am.
On April 17 & 18, 2026, I’m bringing that soundtrack to City Winery Pittsburgh for Blasey Does The 70’s — and I want you to sing every word with me.
I’m incredibly lucky to once again be joined by my backing band, The BeSides. I absolutely love working with these guys. They’re fearless musicians — up for any challenge and ready for anything I throw at them — and they make this music explode off the stage in the best possible way.
These Blasey Does shows are some of my favorite nights of the year. There’s something special about celebrating the music that shaped us, together, in a room full of people who know every lyric.
And there’s no better place to do it than City Winery. It’s one of my favorite rooms to play — intimate, electric, and built for nights like this.
Come relive it with us.
You know the words.
Let’s sing them together.
