10:30am & 11:30am LOOK & LISTEN STORYTIME: Read along to a picture book paired with a work of art. This month the theme is differences and the book is When Pigasso Met Mootisse by Nina Laden, paired with the artwork Parade (diptych) by Mequitta Ahuja.
1–5pm ORIGAMI ACTIVITY: Austin Creative Reuse will demonstrate and teach you how to fold a very sturdy geometric box (antiprism) from 3 square sheets of paper. No origami experience is needed!
1pm LOOKING TOGETHER: Explore a visitor-favorite in our collection together! We’ll use creative ways of looking to make connections and meaning.
2pm CURATOR'S CHOICE TOUR: Join Hannah Klemm, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, as she discusses Joey Fauerso’s You Destroy Every Special Thing I Make.
3pm ART WITH AN EXPERT feat. BILL FONTANA: We’re excited to welcome artist Bill Fontana who will discuss his practice and the commissioned work he created for the Blanton’s Butler Sound Gallery, Landscape Soundings.
4:30pm & 6:30pm LIVE PERFORMANCES BY CONSPIRARE: Enjoy live choral performances by Conspirare, leading a jolly holiday sing-a-long!
