Whether you enjoy camping or a backyard fire pit, we’re now offering a blacksmithing cooking equipment class. In this class, students will make their very own tripod and a pair of S-hooks. This is a very basic class and not prior experience is required.Please dress appropriately in closed-toed shoes, long pants, and a long-sleeved shirt. Please bring a pair of safety glasses and a water bottle. Instruction is for 7 hours between 9-12 and 1-5. We have scheduled a one-hour lunch break so that students will have the opportunity to explore the site. Lunch is not provided, please bring your own. The class limit is 4 students. Students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, although the adult is not required to be a paying student. In which case they should remain outside of the smithy. Fees are $150 per student plus a $25 materials fee due to the instructor the day of the class. Advanced registration is required. Students can purchase tickets online or by calling the Hagood Mill at 864.898.2936. No refunds will be made after the start date of the class.
