The first ever Black Theatre Fringe Festival of South Florida is here! Black Theatre Fringe Festival of South Florida is being presented by Fulfillment Theatre Company and Beaux Production Co.
This festival gives opportunity to the local Arts community by main-staging new works of art by Playwrights who otherwise may not get the chance to perform their works. Never before seen shows, hot off the press scripts, artists at all levels of their careers!
Join us and stimulate the air with the first ever Fringe of it's kind! Featuring playwrights, producers, directors, teaching artists, and actors galore of the African Diaspora.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly showcases in monologue fashion, several women from the Bible such as Jezebel, Rahab, Mary the mother of Jesus, and Sapphira, just to name a few. As two ladies in a Bible study come together to examine them, these leading ladies come alive on stage to tell their own story! This play is audience interactive while staying true to the Biblical accounts. Join us as we take you on an engaging yet informative look at some of the most (or not) discussed women in the Bible. An Evening with the Bard celebrates the one known wondrously as Dr. Maya Angelou! the artistry of her pen transcends time in this piece through the words of some of her more notable works like Still I Rise and I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, Alone, Touched By An Angel, and many more. Dr. Maya Angelou is noted as a modern-day literary TITAN and her legacy includes notoriety as one of the most important African American authors of the 20th century! This theatrically staged work, artfully weaves together several of her poetic masterpieces through various mediums of artistic expression. Playing Saturday, June 18th, 7pm

Wonderous is a magnificent love story that lulls with the sweet sounds of Stevie Wonder! Delores is a Broadway diva under the direction of her long-time heartthrob Robert. Together they set off to take Broadway by storm by launching their newly written and composed Musical: Wonderous! Other love interests brew along the way throughout this misfit cast. Will their love last, or was it all just another showmance? Playing Thursday, June 16th, 7pm AND Saturday, June 18th, 7pm

Jim's Story is the story of the black physician who originated the first Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) group after he himself being badly caught in the toils of alcoholism. This play takes place between 1945 and 1955 and tells of his release and how freedom from addiction came as he worked among his own people. Playing Sunday, June 19th, 4pm

The Importance of Being Ernest follows the plays protagonist, Jack Worthing, who is a pillar of the community and guardian to the eighteen-year-old granddaughter, whom he inherited from his adopted father. Jack is a landowner and justice of the peace. For years, he has also pretended to have an irresponsible black-sheep brother named Ernest who leads a scandalous life in pursuit of pleasure and is always getting into trouble of a sort that requires Jack to rush grimly off to his rescue. Q&A
Q. How are we staying safe during the Festival?
A. All shows will use proper social distancing between parties. Audience members are asked to remain masked during the shows. Class attendees are welcome to remain masked. All Festival attendees will have access to sanitation stations at both venues, as well as access to restrooms so that all may wash their hands as frequently as desired. Each performance venue will be sanitized between performances. There will also be temperature check stations setup prior to entry for performances.
Q. Are there group rates?
A. Please call/text us to take advantage of a day pass, which is available for groups of 10 or more. This is the only group option we have available at this time.
Q. What is the refund policy?
A. This is a no refund event.. This event will not be postponed
