Black Mental Health and Education Summit

The Black Mental Health and Education Summit is a pivotal gathering of Black educators and Black mental health professionals - the individuals working face-to-face with our youth every day.

Amid legislative restrictions in Utah that limit open dialogue and supportive efforts for Black students, we are coming together to strengthen one another, share strategies, and build resilience as a community.

This summit is guided by three key goals:

1. Foster Understanding & Collaboration – Bringing together therapists and educators to deepen knowledge of the interdependence between mental health and education.
2. Empower Professionals – Equipping participants with tools, resources, and strategies to address barriers and gaps in supporting Black students.
3. Build Community & Ongoing Collaboration – Creating space for connection, self-care, and collective action beyond the summit.

Through keynotes, panels, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities, attendees will leave with practical strategies, renewed energy, and stronger professional bonds - ready to continue the vital work of ensuring that our youth are seen, supported, and celebrated.
