in Oakland is that they are “wildin’ out” or “out of control,”
BLACK LOVE provides an oasis of culture with a musical
tapestry centered on Black love, self expression, and invites
the listener to reimagine what you feel about Black and Brown
youth based in Oakland, California. Led by Kingmakers Music
artist ZO 1, BLACK LOVE is in the vein of a 2024 version of
Digable Planets because of it’s jazz sensibilities, Miseducation
of Ms. Lauryn Hill with its melodies steeped in cultural lyrics of
hope, and it’s uniquely relevant, fly, with an authentic Oakland-Bay
Area Sound that slaps and brings a vibe that is fresh air to the ears
