Come join us for a afternoon of powerful spoken word performances celebrating Black history and culture!
Our community event will feature local poets who'll be sharing their work in honor of Black History Month.
Coordinated & Hosted by Award Winning Poet/Emcee Mike Guinn
Featuring NAACP Image Award Nominee and Poet Laureate Samuel Rain AKA Complicated Passions
10 poets will agree to compete in a one round - one poem - poetry slamz
There will be judges who will score the poet's performance on 3 criteria
Originality- Content- Performance
You'll be score on a scale of 0.1-10
The poet with highest score wins a cash prize and trophy
