Creativity and entrepreneurship in young people is the theme for ECA’s bold Black History Month event at the Dugdale Art Centre. Writers, musicians, artists, filmmakers and other creatives will form a melting pot of ideas, discussions and energies to celebrate black creativity.The aim of the event is to bring people together to learn from successful entrepreneurs through workshops and talks by entrepreneurs and creatives and to build networks and connections. Join us as we gather to discuss, dream, and explore how creativity can powerfully transforms lives and realities.
The event includes access to workshops (6pm start and repeated at 6.50pm):
- An Introduction to Costume Design and Styling by PC Williams – Costume Designer and Stylist
- Roots of Wellness: Natural Therapy for Emotional Wellbeing
Sharleen DaCosta – Entrepreneur, sound therapist
- Fundamentals of Freelancing: Stepping off the edge by Abena Noel, Roy Edwards & Cameron Edwards
8pm in the Theatre The ‘In conversation with’ session will be facilitated by BBC Journalist, presenter and author Kamilah McInnis.

Ticket Prices:
VIP admission: £15 which includes entrance to 2 workshops + seated theatre access to the ‘In Conversation With’ session at 8pm
General admission: £10 which includes entrance to 2 workshops + screen access to the ‘In Conversation With’ session at 8pm.
