Join SW Atlanta STEAM Stars as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Harlem Renaissance. Commemorate our the vibrant 1920s-1930s cultural, social, and artistic explosion centered in Harlem, NYC, celebrating Black identity, heritage, and creativity in literature, music (Jazz, Blues), art, and theater, marking a "spiritual coming of age" by transforming experiences of discrimination into powerful expressions of racial pride and self-determination for African Americans. Please dress accordingly. Scholars are welcome to come as a notable of the era and present poster, poem, or short presentation of that person.Refreshments will be served.
There is a $10 admission fee.
