As part of the annual Family Day Take Part, celebration of multi-cultural arts and heritage.Brighton & Hove Black History invites you to come aboard the Thomas High-Flyer Bus for a city-wide tour with historians Dr Bert Williams MBE & Suchi Chattterjee.
Explore some of the city’s prominent sites and places that have a significant connection to the contributions of those from the Global Majority and people of colour.
With full commentary this experience will celebrate and honour the diverse cultural land-scape of our city.
Hear about the life of a 13-year enslaved African Boy now buried at Woodvale Cemetery, and the wedding ceremony of an African princess at St Nicholas Church and many more.
