Jacksonville’s past, present, and future are deeply shaped by Black history, and this new multi-part tour series brings those stories to life.Part 1: Downtown Jacksonville
Black History, Black Future is a 90-minute guided walking tour through Downtown Jacksonville led by journalist and broadcaster Shelton Hull. Throughout the experience, Shelton will highlight the people, art, architecture, and untold stories that helped shape Jacksonville’s history, and continue to influence where the city is headed next.
This tour is designed to be thoughtful, engaging, and accessible, offering both longtime locals and first-time visitors a deeper understanding of Downtown Jacksonville through a Black historical lens.
