Mandem Meet Up will be leading our spring mixed-gender hike through one of the Peak District’s most dramatic landscapes. This unforgettable route takes in the mysterious chasm of Lud’s Church, the striking gritstone ridge of The Roaches, and the historic Three Shires Head, where the counties of Staffordshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire meet.
Terrain: Expect some inclines, mixture of woodland and pavedpaths, which may be slippery and muddy in wet weather, so hiking boots with good ankle support and weather appropriate clothing are recommended.
What to bring: Lunch, snacks and water.
Lunch stop: Midway through the walk.
Facilities: Toilets are available at the start and end of the walk.
Transport: This is a circular walk. Driving/car sharing is recommended. Limited free parking available (approx. 25–30 cars) that fills quickly on weekends. Overflow parking is available in a nearby field for roughly £5 for the day.
This event will be led by a BGH trained walk leader. Please note that the leader does not hold a Mountain Leader qualification, and participation is therefore at your own discretion and risk.
