Christmas shopping starts early at Escanaba’s Black Friday on Tuesday. Enjoy going store-to-store on Ludington Street as carolers sing holiday tunes. Sip hot chocolate, meet Santa and help usher in the holiday season with the lighting of the Christmas tree at Center Court at 7 p.m. Downtownshopping is a wonderful way to begin the holiday season.

Participating businesses can be found at escanabadowntown.com. Check with businesses for in-store drawings and enter for Jingle Bucks. Giving away $500, $250 and $100 to be spent in the downtown during the holiday season.
The Escanaba City Band will be playing at the Christmas Tree on South 11th and Ludington Streets beginning at 6 p.m. The tree and the garland throughout the downtown will be lit at 7 p.m. with Santa Claus. The tree this year is being decorated by 140 students from the Upper Elementary School.
Escanaba has the longest small town downtown in Michigan jammed packed with unique shops, great restaurants and dedicated businesses ready to welcome you for holiday fun.
