In 2023, we launched our first Black Family Summit, with 140 delegates attending our sell-out event. Our keynote speakers, Professor Pedro Noguera and Michael Browning received standing ovations for their informative and thought-provoking presentations. Our workshops were well received, and we want to thank all the Black professionals who offered their skills and time to empower our Black families with well-thought-out workshops that uplifted every area of the strategy to encourage our Black families and community. Check out 2023's recap below.

Educators are innovators.

The Black communities that we are trying to serve, have little or no guidance. Many who come to America for the ‘American Dream’, quickly realize that this is easier to achieve if they understand how to ensure that their children are properly educated. They are slowly beginning to understand that this is something they must learn how to do. Parents have many choices in education today; public school, charter school, independent school, faith school, magnet, gifted, sector-driven schools like STEM, dual language, etc. When you have this many choices in selecting the right type of school for your child, on top of which you must make sure they do well every day that they are there, it is very much a given now that you need to be taught how to make sure that this will work for both you and your child.
