Black Expressions in Cinema — Indie Short Film Festival
The Black Expressions in Cinema Film Block is one you absolutely don’t want to miss.
Join us on Saturday, March 21 from 3–5 PM at Violet Crown for a compelling collection of short films centering Black storytelling, creativity, and lived experience. The lineup is powerful — the kind of block that stays with you long after the credits roll.
Following the screenings, the festival-wide discussion will take place from 6–7 PM.
at Common House, we’ll host a dedicated Black Expressions in Cinema discussion, moderated by Charles Lewis .
This conversation will create space to reflect on the themes, craft, and cultural impact of the films.
Festival staff and filmmakers are expected to stop by and engage with attendees, making it an intimate and meaningful dialogue.
