Auditions announcement:Black Comedy A Farce by Peter Shaffer

Audition will consist of cold reads from show, movement, and accents. British, Cockney, and German.

5 men 3 women
Brindsley Miller- age 20-35 Male
A British young sculpture, intelligent and attractive, but nervous and uncertain of himself. Very animated and strategic.
Carol Melkett- age 18-25 Female
Brindsley’s British fiancee. A young Debutant, pretty, spoiled, very silly. Her sound/ voice can be that fake sounding debutante quake.
Colonel Melkett-age 40-58 Male
Carol’s commanding British father. Brisk, Barky, and vocally alarmed with fright and instability. Change in voice a lot. Always suspicious.
Miss Furnival- age 45-65 Female
Prissy and refined British lady. Can be very tight knit. Her gesture start to waiver when alcohol gets involved.
Harold Gorringe- age 35-50 Male
British bachelor of an antique shop and Brindsley neighbor. He has friendship in regard to him getting something in return. Very possessive, expert in emotional blackmail. Can become hysterical over the slightest thing.
Clea- age 18-30 Female
Brindsley British ex mistress. Dazzling, bright, vixen, emotional, and mischievous. Tries to make a dramatic situation even worse when pushed.
Scuppanzigh- age 25-50 male a German refugee, chubby, cultivated and happy man living in England. Works for the London Electric Company.
George Bamberger- age 60-80 male. An elderly German Millionaire, and art collector. Stone deaf and eyesight is going too.
