To go alongside the 'Into the Light' exhibition, this fun and interactive session of dance and storytelling will introduce children to some trailblazing dancers through a specially-commissioned picture book. 'Onisere and the Ballet Queen' tells the story of a girl who wants to be a ballet dancer, but doesn't think she can because she's never seen another black dancer. Enter the Ballet Queen, Simbira, who takes Onisere and her little brother on a fantastical journey through the history of black British ballet.A free event, but please register your interest in attending at www.opac.northlincs.gov.uk/events (search 'ballet').
